The position

We are looking for a social bridge builder who can also set the strategic HR course in a growing and dynamic organization. You are an autonomous thinker, stand firmly on your feet and see people as Human Capital. As a people-oriented individual, you like a personal approach and an informal atmosphere where there is also time for relaxation. You are familiar with the dynamics and short lines of communication of a family type of business.

The challenge for the Human Capital Director lies in developing HR strategy, good processes and a professional HR team. To be able to shape the intended growth, there is a lot of attention for the organizational culture. Themes on the agenda are: recruitment, employee and leadership development and (labor) market communication.

 

The department

The Human Capital Director is an MT member and reports to the CEO. Given the growth and intended change agenda, the HR department now consists of 3 HR business partners, 2 internal recruiters and an employer branding specialist. In this role you will also be responsible for Facility and kitchen as well as reception (approx. 6 employees).

Main duties and responsibilities

What is expected of you:

  • You think from the business, have a clear vision and know how to communicate it convincingly;
  • You will make a strategic contribution to the growth and changes West Coast Supply Group is facing;
  • You are able to adapt well to a changing labor market, know where the needs of candidates and employees lie and take senior management along with you in this picture;
  • You have knowledge and experience with employer branding and know how to employ online tools such as social media well;
  • You take the lead in leadership development;
  • You continuously optimize and professionalize the quality of HR processes and systems.

Job requirements and competencies

  • You have at least HBO working and thinking level with education in a relevant direction;
  • You are well versed in HR processes and have thorough knowledge of all relevant disciplines within HR: recruitment, L&D, culture and employee satisfaction, laws and regulations and HR processes and systems;
  • You have experience with leadership development at all levels;
  • You are a bridge builder in the organization, move easily between people;
  • You are independent, entrepreneurial, hands-on and results-driven;
  • You are able to engage in dialogue at all levels based on your expertise;
  • You see people as Human Capital; you are empathic, social, accessible;
  • You stand firm and dare to say things; transparent, direct ánd with respect;
  • You preferably have experience in medium-sized organizations/family businesses, reporting to the major stakeholder/CEO;
  • You have experience in an international commercial environment, preferably in (wholesale) trade or retail;
  • You have integrity and loyalty to the company and its employees.
